Centering Group Prenatal Care

Longer prenatal visits with the same group of patients, designed to be attended and launched by a midwife with hands-on Centering experience.

What we do

Group prenatal care gives patients more time with their care team and with one another. Our senior midwife has hands-on experience with Centering and helps you design the program, train the staff who will facilitate groups, and set up the space, scheduling and documentation. Attendance is the model’s main practical challenge, so we plan for it from the start. With per-visit reporting of prenatal care arriving in 2027, steady attendance also matters more to your finances.

Group prenatal care is well studied and safe, and patients rate it highly. Large trials have not shown that it lowers preterm birth overall, so we offer it for the experience and engagement it brings, not as a promised clinical result. The evidence is summarized on our Case studies page. The 2027 code change applies across payers, but how each payer pays for the new codes will vary, so your billing team should confirm what applies to you.
